December 8th Korla, Xinjiang

This is our last day in Korla. As usual, we start it off with some awesome food at a local restaurant. This time it's dim-sum. You can think of dim-sum as Chinese breakfast - more carbs, and sweeter.

I noticed this sign on the wall of the restaurant, basically tell you not to eat Western food or you'll get fat.

Western food makes you fat.

Next, we're on our way to the airport. Our parents had a business trip and already left in the morning. We'd meet again during our journey, so some of their friends would take us to the airport.

They had a diesel SUV! You don't really see diesel SUV's in America. It also had some really awesome off road-looking tires.

After we landed back in Beijing we got to witness the taxis arrive and leave the airport. It's really quite a sight - about a couple dozen taxies will all pull up, park, people will get in, then they all leave at once.

Then, the next group pulls up.

Basically batch processing, taxi style.

That night we walked around Beijing in search of food. Finding good food isn't hard. Have you ever had crawfish? Well, meet the crawfish sandwhich.

Meet the crawfish sandwhich.
Basically, think of it as a spicy shrimp sandwhich, except better.
This sign just says "DRUNK". Like my camera, right?

One last picture before we went to our hotel for the night... I noticed some of the manhole covers have tabs.
