December 13th Baoding Military Hospital and Stray Cats

December 13th was the day we would visit my grandfather in-law in the hospital. Only our parents wanted to actually go inside - we were supposed to wait outside.

The hospital seemed very interesting - so we took some time to explore around.

We start out with the housing.

People that work at the hospital live in these buildings nearby.
Here's a quick video of those buildings.

Moving on to the actual hospital.

The front of one of the main buildings.
We made our way to one of the smaller side buildings, which were still very busy.

Inside you can see people lined up. They're making their appointments and paying right now.

No waiting - pay a few bucks and go see the doctor you want.

Exiting that building, we made our way closer to one of the main buildings.

Here's that entrance up close.
The sidewalk around the buildings is decorated in an interesting way.

One thing that I noticed off to the side was this big red tank and being a nerd of all things mechanical of course I had to go investigate.

This seems like a boiler of some sort.

Near the hospital is a small shop, and during our quick walkthrough I noticed this chair.

If you're a foreigner you might find this useful in the bathroom.

During our walk we discovered a walkway made of pointy rocks designed as some sort of meditative walkway. I took off my shoes and tried it out.

Trying the walkway of pointy rocks. It's supposed to be theraputic I guess...
The pain means it's working.
About ten feet away we noticed some cats.
We only had bread on hand, but the cats gladly took it.

That's the end of our adventure of the hospital. We headed to see our relatives, who laid out all kinds of food for us.

The longer we sat, the more food appeared on the table.

Back at our hotel we observed some interesting behavior of the lights in our room.

Keep in mind, it's a pretty cheap hotel.

That brings December 13th to a conclusion!
